Have you read the book or watched the movie Into The Wild? Well my interpretation was that an adventure is best shared, the wonderful things nature has to offer is not for individuals but for everyone and best shared. Thus, making a (my) journey alone seeming kind of pointless and depressing. However, McCandless didn’t have facebook or a way to share is experience with other on a regular basis. So I encourage every one to go own adventure; alone. Nowadays your never really alone if you don’t want to be. It is quite the experience being thousands and thousands of miles and countless countries away from home and still share your experience with the your true friends and family as it happens. In my book this is the best of both worlds. Traveling alone allows you to meet new people and see things in a new perspective easier. When you travel with old friends it is harder to see things with new eyes. But not being able to share your experience with your old friends can be lonely at best and selfish at worst.
